DFMLP ENDORSES THE NDC MANIFESTO
27thAugust, 2024.
The Democratic Forum for Medical Laboratory Professionals (DFMLP) wishes to congratulate the leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) including the experienced and hardworkingflagbearer, H. E. John Dramani Mahama on the launching of their Manifesto for the. upcoming December 7 Elections.
The DFMLP is convinced beyond all reasonable doubt, after reading extensively through the 200-page document that H.E. John Dramani Mahama and Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyeman are the pairto reset the country and provide the jobs, accountability and the needed developments that Ghananeeds at this period. This conclusion was reached after analyzing the manifestos of the two leadingpoliticalparties in thecountry.
DFMLP is particularly enthused by the comprehensive coverage of critical issues needed to improve the healthcare system of the country and ensure the wellbeing of the populace. On pages 102 to 111 of the manifesto, every sector of the healthcare system was touched and theneeded solutions to each sector were proffered. Compared to the provisions on health in the Manifesto of the NPP (pages157-172), the NDC has superior policies and appears to understand the heathsector far better.
As Medical Laboratory Professionals, we wish to specially thank the NDC and specifically itsflagbearer and running mate for the special focus on the Medical Laboratory Science profession. Onpages 109 and 110, points 8, 9, 10 and 11 of section 5.2.7.2, the NDC promises to our professionaddress the major concerns of the Medical Laboratory Science profession. We trust in the honestyand competence of H.E. John Dramani Mahama to deliver his promises to the profession toimprove the healthcare system and create thousands of jobs for the youth of the Country, especially throughthe production of Laboratory reagents/test kits andequipment.
We, therefore entreat all practicing Medical Laboratory professionals, Allied Health professionals, trainees, other well-meaning healthcare workers and the youth of the country to vote massively fortheNDC to reset the Country and provide accountable and competent leadership.
END.
