2024 polls: Kumankumah, Akua Donkor, Janet Nabla file nomination forms

Akua Donkor, the leader of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Janet Nabla, the flagbearer of the People’s National Party (PNP), and Nana Frimpomaa Sarpong Kumankumah have all successfully submitted their nomination forms for the upcoming December 7 elections.

The three women, known for their bold and outspoken political stances, arrived at the Electoral Commission (EC) office on Thursday to complete the necessary formalities.

During the submission, Akua Donkor presented her files to Jean Mensa, the EC Chairperson, and reaffirmed her commitment to advocating for the concerns of ordinary Ghanaians and driving meaningful change.

Ms Nabla praised the EC for reducing the cost for women to participate in the elections but urged for the digitalization of the filing process to alleviate the stress candidates face.

Ms Kumankumah stated that the CPP was making a comeback with policies aimed at eliminating poverty and instilling hope in Ghanaians.

The submission of their nomination files signals their readiness to compete in the elections and their resolve to provide an alternative to the main political parties.
