2024 polls: New GFP Presidential Candidate files nomination at EC

Philip Appiah Kubi, also known as Roman Father, the newly appointed Presidential Candidate for the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), has officially filed his nomination with the Electoral Commission of Ghana today.

Following the passing of the party’s former Presidential Candidate, Akua Donkor, the GFP has selected Philip Appiah Kubi as its new flagbearer for the upcoming 2024 elections. The party communicated the change in a letter to the Electoral Commission dated November 4, officially notifying them of its new candidate.

In accordance with electoral law, the GFP confirmed that they would submit the necessary paperwork for their new Presidential candidate within the stipulated time frame.

Before her passing, Philip Appiah Kubi served as the Vice-Presidential candidate of the GFP. The late Akua Donkor, who was the party’s previous Presidential Candidate, died on Monday, October 28, at the Ridge Hospital in Accra.
