VGMA23: KIDI crowned Artiste of the Year

Afro-pop Song Artiste, Kidi has been adjudged as the overall Artiste of the Year in this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Award (VGMA23) at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference on Saturday night.

Kidi who missed out on the last year’s Artiste of the year narrowly promised his fans of strong comeback.

Indeed, he really worked extra harder with a lot of hits songs and Album under the year review.

Kidi beats stiff competition from the likes of Black Sherrif, Sarkodie, Kuami Eugene, Joe Mettle, and King Promise to win the prestigious award for the first time.

Meanwhile, apart from the Artiste of the year, Kidi swept the most awards of the night. Raggae Dancehall song of the year, Afrobeat/Afropop Artiste, Album of the year, most popular song of the year and the overall, Artiste of the year.
