Hearts and Kotoko Super clash is on week 3
The biggest match on Ghana football calendar and one of the biggest in the world Hearts verses Kotoko match will come early in the week three as the season begins on 9th September, 2022.
Ghana Football Association ( GFA) on Thursday released the 2022-2023 League fixtures with a headline sponsor Betpawa.
Often time when fixtures are released, pundits focus much more on the two biggest clubs Hearts and Kotoko.
Kotoko will play new boys Nsoatremen FC at the Baba Yara stadium, before travelling to Bechem to face Bechem United in week two.
Many pundits consider Kotoko first two fixtures as little bit easy as compared to their rivals Hearts who will travel to Dormaa to face Aduana Stars in week one before facing city rivals, Accra Great Olympics in week two.
The two glamorous clubs will face off at the Baba Yara stadium in the first league of the super clash in week three which promises to be very exciting.
Both Kotoko and Hearts will be representing Ghana in the African club competition with Kotoko playing in the Champions League, while Hearts plays the second tier, Confederation cup.
Both teams have made some important signings including foreign players. Some Pundits believe believe Kotoko will defend the title, while others think Hearts can easily snitch the title back.
Last season, it ended goalless in the first league at the Accra sports stadium, but Kotoko won the return league with a controversial penalty at the Baba Yara stadium.
