Hearts of Oak number one shot-stopper, Richard Attah’s name will be on the lips of the Phobians for a while, after his classic and heroic display at the MTN FA Cup final between Hearts and AshGold which the Phobians won 8-7 on penalties at Accra stadium.
The match traveled to extra time after both sides failed to put the ball at the back of the net. Attah, who did not come under any pressure in the match because his defence was solid and protective.

He started on a good note by saving the first shoot from AshGold and the other hitting the crossbar. But Afriyie Barnie who was the last player to kick and scoring means a victory for Hearts but bottled it.
This miss gave AshGold a renewed energy and believe thay the trophy is theirs to win. They thought they had won after Benjamin Efutu shoot was saved by Kofi Mensah who runs to the corner arc for celebration with other players. While Seth Osei was walking towards the penalty box for his kick, AshGold officials and players entwined their arms waiting to jump onto the pitch in a celebration mood only for Richard Attah to sumptuously saved Seth Osei kick.
Attah, after saving Osei’s shoot, was the next to kick since all the players have kicked. He powered a left-footed shot that got the whole stadium in a jubilant mood. Kofi Mensah, AshGold keeper also tried to go for power, but it flew into the sky, and the Hearts players run towards Attah for celebration.
