Hearts Pobiman Sports Complex to be commissioned October- Togbe Afede

Board Chairman of Accra Hearts of Oak Togbe Afede has revealed that the Pobiman Training Complex project which is currently ongoing will be completed and commissioned at the end of October this year.

The Phobians who were underestimated by key competitors rose to the the top of the GPL table, sustaining the stamina to conquer tittle contenders for season, pulling surprises at every stage of the GPL to turn things around and finally carried the day.

As part of ways to celebrate the multiple victory, players and the Technical Team, Togbe Afede hosted the players at his residence for dinner party on Monday 9 August, 2021.

Interacting with the squad, Togbe Afede thanked the players and Technical Team for putting up a splendid performance to win the two major titles for the club.

In his speech, he made mention of many projects on the drawing board, singling out one of them that excites Hearts fans, the Pobiman Sports Complex which he said will be completed and commissioned at the end of October.

Hearts over the years has had issues about training ground, moving from one training ground to the other.

The current board assured the supporters and players of getting the Pobiman Complex completed so the players and technical staff will not be moving around in search of training ground.

Board Chairman said they have four pitches, tennis and volleyball courts, swimming pool and other exciting facilities and hotels that players and coaches can live in.

“By the end of October this year, the Pobiman Training Complex will be ready for us to use. We have four training pitches, hotels for players and coaches, swimming pool, tennis and volleyball court and other exciting facilities”.

He has also indicated that the current secretariat is not befitting the club’s status, hence, it will be pulled down by the end of August 2021, to make way for the ultra modern facilities that will fit their status as big club in Africa.
