Mahama names final batch of Deputy Ministers

President John Mahama has submitted his final list of deputy ministerial nominees to Parliament, fulfilling his campaign pledge to appoint a total of 60 ministers.

This action is in line with Articles 78(1) and 79(1) of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana.

Official statement released

A statement issued and signed by the Minister for Government Communications and Presidential Spokesperson, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, outlined the latest appointments. The statement named four Members of Parliament selected to serve in various key ministries.

• Dorcas Toffey, MP – Ministry of Transport
• James G. Quayson, MP – Ministry of Foreign Affairs
• Mohammed Adam Sukparu, MP – Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations
• Grace Ayensu-Danquah, MP – Ministry of Health

Parliamentary approval required

These nominations represent the final set of deputy ministerial appointments under President Mahama’s administration. All appointments are subject to parliamentary approval through the Speaker of Parliament.
