Ignore Mahama, we’re fixing his economic mess- NPP

Governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) is asking Ghanaians to completely discard Ex-President John Dramani Mahama’s latest comment that Ghanaian economy under Akufo-Addo is bleeding at Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Ex-President Mahama addressing the NDC Professional Forum in Accra, said the Ghanaian economy under Akufo-Addo has been bleeding before the influx of Covid-19 due to mismanagement.

Ghana’s total public debt stock as of April 2021 per the fisical records from the Bank of Ghana stood at 334.2 billion cedis with John Mahama arguing that Akufo-Addo has borrowed more than 60% of Ghana’s total external debt.

Apart from that, the governing NPP has been borrowing for consumption with no projects to show for it except PR and sloganeering amid after thought Agenda111 promises.

But, speaking at press conference on Tuesday 7 September 2021 in Accra, General Secretary of NPP John Boadu insists” Mahama ran to IMF for policy credibility after he reduced the Ghanaian economy to poor performance. Mahama has no credibility when it comes to economic Management. We’re cleaning his economic mess”.

John Boadu noted that” We’re are not going the Senchi for any meeting for consensus on the economy. Mahama should make public the ideas he claims to have to manage the economy better than us”.
