T’adi faked kidnapping: Ignore Bempah’s lies against Mahama, Ofosu Ampofo-Kirk-Mensah
Western Regional Communication Officer of National Democratic Congress Richard Kirk-Mensah has asked the public to immediately disregard untrue allegations peddled by Ernest Owusu Bempah, a member of Fixing the Country Movement, that EX-President John Mahama and party Chairman Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo are behind Takoradi fake kidnapping issue.
Josephine Panyin Mensah of Takoradi lied, faked pregnancy and kidnapping creating fear and panic only to admit that she “lied and faked it all ” when questioned by the police.
Josephine Mensah now turned-suspect has been in the custody of the police, pleaded not guilty to the charges levelled against her upon her first appearance in court and was granted 50,000 cedis bail today.
But, even before the dust settles on the matter, Fixing the Country Movement led by Ernest Owusu Bempah has accused EX-President Mahama and Ofosu-Ampofo of being the real architect behind the development in the oil city.
But, according to Kirk-Mensah, Ernest Owusu Bempah peddled falsehood when he presided over a needless press conference solely to accuse innocent opposition party leaders.
In a sharp reaction to the press conference on Radio Peace Morning Show Host today, Kobina Adu Agbomo, the Western Regional Communication Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress, Mr Richard Kirk-Mensah responded to claims by Mr Ernest Owusu Bempah, a member of Fixing the Country movement, a member of the pro government group for alleging that former President John Mahama and National Chairman of the NDC, Mr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo are behind the recent fake pregnancy incident in Takoradi.
According to him, the “allegations by Mr Bempah were unfounded, untrue and just aimed at courting public disaffection against the NDC”.
He therefore urged the media “not to give credence to such allegations but rather turn their lenses towards issues that would transform the nation”.
