A Night of Petition: A spiritual encounter at Obi Amalachukwu Palace
On the evening of Friday, February 7, 2025, the serene grounds of Obi Amalachukwu Palace at Pokuase ACP Estate within the GA West Municipality of Ghana, were filled with the powerful presence of prayer and spiritual anticipation. The event, titled A Night of Petition, was a divine gathering that took place from 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM, bringing together attendees under the theme: Help me oh Lord my God (Psalm 109:26). The night promised to be one of deep intercession, invoking God’s mercy and intervention for the year 2025.
The event, hosted by His Royal Majesty Eze Dr. Evang. Tony Ulasi (Okudaa -Ibube I) of Dome-Kwabenya, Accra, attracted a diverse group of people, both Ghanaian and Nigerian nationals residing in Ghana. It was an evening of fervent prayer, worship, and declarations of faith, as all present sought God’s guidance and blessing for the future.
The opening prayer, led by Chief of Staff Clinton Chinyeaka, set the tone for the evening—a night dedicated to seeking divine intervention. The praises and worship followed, led by the soulful voices of Lolo D. Uche, while the welcome address by His Royal Majesty, Eze Dr. Evang. Tony Ulasi, gave a clear purpose to the gathering: to come together in unity and call upon the heavens for God’s grace and mercy.
The event was graced with uplifting musical ministrations. Evangelist Rockson’s first song set the spiritual atmosphere, while Chief Uche Agwu Udoonowu Ndi Igbo read from the Scriptures, delivering a message of hope. The moment of offering was led by Chief Miracle, and a second round of soul-stirring worship followed, courtesy of Maame Serwaa. The evening’s musical offerings continued with Lolo Winny Uche’s powerful ministration.
The highlight of the evening came with the preaching and intercession by Apostle Seth K. Agyapong. Speaking directly to the hearts of everyone present, he reminded the congregation that the night was one of petition—a time to bring forth their deepest desires, challenges, and hopes before God. “Tonight, we are here to make our petition known to our Father in Heaven,” Apostle Agyapong declared. “I don’t know what you have come here with, but I believe everyone under the sound of my voice has something on your heart which you are believing God for manifestation. By the covenant of prayer, grace, and our calling, God will answer your prayer tonight.”
His words resonated deeply with the gathered crowd, who were united in prayer, hoping for divine breakthroughs in various areas of their lives as they moved into the new year. The event’s atmosphere was a powerful reminder of the strength of faith, with each prayer and petition offering a renewed sense of hope for the year ahead.
The evening concluded with an acknowledgment of dignitaries, led by Chief Ugonaechere Ora, and a final moment of reflection on the importance of coming together as a community of faith. It was a reminder that, regardless of one’s background or nationality, prayer transcends all boundaries, uniting believers in the shared hope of a brighter future.
A Night of Petition at Obi Amalachukwu Palace was not just an event; it was a spiritual milestone for all those who attended, as they left the gathering with hearts full of faith, knowing that their petitions had been heard and their spirits had been uplifted for the year ahead.
