Abesim murder: IGP storms crime scene
IGP Dr. George Dampare has stormed Abesim after a 28-year old man with human parts of three persons Richard Appiah was arrested at Abesim closed to Sunyani in Bono Region.
Three victims are 12 and 15 years old young men and another yet-to-be-identified whose bodies were found in the suspect’s living quarters in Alaska near Abesim on Friday, August 20, 2021.
Following the murder, Inspector General of Police Dr. George Dampare has directed Homicide Unit of the Police to take over investigation of the case involving a Sports Commentator Richard Appiah storing human parts in freezer after killing three persons at Abesim near Sunyani in Bono Region.
The officers of the Homicide Unit was deployed to the area after IGP Dr. Dampare visited the family of the three persons killed at Abesim.
The popular Footballer and Sports Commentator at Abesim within Sunyani Municipality of the Bono Region Richard Appiah with human parts stored in freezer is in the grips of the police command.
A search of the suspect, known in private life as “Fire Man’s ” room by the police revealed human parts including heads stored in a deep freezer.
Father of the one of the deceased Mr. Thomas Agyei explained that the footballer lured his 13-year old his son, Louis Agyemang Junior from a football park at Sunyani Abesim into his room and killed him.
Mr. Agyei noted that his boy who is a twin had left to the park for football training but was nowhere to be found by the evening. One of his friends called Tweneboa told his parents that they saw him in the company of the Sports Commentator and Footballer “Fire Man”.
When they approached him, he denied knowledge of the boy which gave the parents enough grounds for suspicion because Tweneboa still insisted that the two were seen walking together in the afternoon.
Meanwhile, PRO of Police CID DSP Alexander Obeng said Clinical Psychologists have been engaged to help the police who conducted the search of the suspect’s room leading to the discovery of human parts stored in fridge.
