PETITION FOR THE REMOVAL OF CHIEF OF AKYEM ASENE- NANA KAKARI APAW FRIMPONG II

As citizens of Akyem Asene and Akyem Kotoku State, we firmly believe that our community deserves leadership that priorities transparency and integrity. It is with great concern that we as citizens call for the removal of Nana Kakari Apaw Frimpong II as chief of Akyem Asene due to his lack of transparency and allegations of corruption. Our people deserve a leader who upholds the principles of honesty and accountability, ensuring that our resources and opportunities are distributed fairly and justly among all members of our community.

Growing up in Akyem Asene, we have witnessed first-hand the impact that effective leadership can have on a community. A strong leader can inspire trust, foster unity, and create an environment where everyone’s voices are heard. Unfortunately, this has not been the case under the current chief’s tenure.

One major concern is the lack of transparency surrounding important decisions made by Nana Kakari Apaw Frimpong II. Many community members feel left in the dark when it comes to understanding how decisions are made or how funds are allocated within our community. This lack of information erodes trust between leadership and community members. Furthermore, there have been alarming allegations of corruption within our leadership. We pray that these allegations must be investigated before any conclusions can be drawn, it is crucial to address them seriously as they undermine public confidence in our chief’s ability to lead effectively in our society.

According to local reports from trusted sources, instances of favouritism in resource distribution have been observed under the current chief’s administration, selling of stool land, and gross disrespect to the paramountcy. This creates an unfair advantage for certain individuals or groups within our community while neglecting others who may be equally deserving.

Our people deserve better representation, someone who will prioritize fairness and justice above personal gain or hidden agendas. We need a leader who will work tirelessly towards improving education opportunities for youth, healthcare access for all members regardless of socioeconomic status, and economic development initiatives that benefit everyone and not just a select few in Akyem Asene.

We signed this petition today, to join hands in calling for the removal of our current chief Nana Kakari Apaw Frimpong II, Together, we can send a strong message to our community and the authorities responsible for overseeing leadership that transparency, integrity, and accountability are non-negotiable qualities we demand from our
leaders.

Let us come together as a united and work towards a brighter future our community. Our people deserve nothing less than the best representation possible.
Thank you for your support in this important endeavour.

Yours sincerely,

Barima Nana Arkoh- Frimpong Oware
