Alan backs Asantewaa in Akwaaba Village

An independent candidate Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen vying for the presidential seat, joined the residents of Akwaaba Village in Accra to show their support for Afua Asantewaa’s courageous endeavor to break the Guinness World Record for the longest individual singing marathon.

Accompanied by his wife and members of his campaign team, Mr. Kyerematen stood amongst the crowd and enthusiastically cheered on Afia as she sang a combination of gospel and highlife tunes. After applauding her efforts, the leader of the Movement for Change took the opportunity to engage with the excited crowd.

Asantewaa commenced her audacious challenge at midnight on Christmas Eve, aiming to continuously sing to surpass the current record held by Indian artist Sunil Waghmare, who sang for 105 hours in 2012.

Notably, Mr. Kyerematen became the second prominent political figure to visit Akwaaba Village, following the Vice President and NPP presidential candidate for the 2024 elections, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
