Alex Mould, Gavivina to pay ¢5m as bail bond for Ex-MASLOC CEO –Deputy AG
The Attorney General’s office is currently pursuing Alex Kofi Mensah Mould, the former CEO of GNPC, and popular actor Gavivina Tamakloe, who previously worked at the National Theatre. They had stood as sureties for Sedinam Tamakloe Attionu, the former CEO of MASLOC, who has been sentenced to ten years in prison with hard labor.
Deputy Attorney General Alfred Tuah-Yeboah mentioned that the state will be claiming the GHS5m bail sum as Sedinam had failed to appear in court during the trial. He emphasized that Alex Mould and the other surety will be required to pay this amount for her, as they had stood in for her.
The sentencing, which took place on April 16, 2024, involved Sedinam and former COO of MASLOC, Daniel Axim, who was sentenced to five years in prison with hard labor. Both individuals were found guilty on multiple charges including causing financial loss, stealing, money laundering, and public procurement law violations.
Mr. Tuah-Yeboah also mentioned efforts to freeze Sedinam’s assets and ensure she serves her sentence.
