Amenfi Central: NDC’s Joana Gyan Cudjoe attacked; 6 injured

At least six supporters of the Amenfi Central National Democratic Congress (NDC) were injured in an attack on Saturday, November 30, while the party’s parliamentary candidate, Joana Gyan Cudjoe, was unhurt. The attack occurred at Adjakaamanso as Madam Gyan and her team were returning from a campaign event.

The assailants reportedly damaged the campaign vehicle, smashing its windows, while the victims sustained injuries to their heads, hands, and legs. They are currently receiving medical treatment at a nearby hospital.

The incident has been reported to the Wassa Dominase Police Station, which has launched an investigation. One of the victims, whose name is withheld, described how a vehicle suddenly blocked their path and attacked their vehicle. The motive for the assault remains unclear, as authorities continue their inquiry.
