Bernard Mornah elected PNC flagbearer

Bernard Mornah has emerged as the winner of the flagbearer contest for the People’s National Convention (PNC), a major achievement for the party.

The official announcement of Mornah’s victory was made by Electoral Commission officials at the UDS Guest House in Accra on September 7, 2024.

During the party’s congress to elect national executives for the upcoming December general elections, Mornah received a total of 1,138 votes, whilst his opponent, David Apasera, secured 216 votes.

In his victory speech, Mornah called for unity within the party and extended an olive branch to Apasera, emphasizing the importance of working together to enhance the PNC’s chances of political success in the upcoming elections.

Despite some initial delays caused by an injunction from Apasera’s team, the party resolved the issue and successfully proceeded with the congress without further disruptions.
