CHRAJ Deputy Commissioner Richard Ackom Quayson is dead

Mr. Richard Ackom Quayson, the Deputy Commissioner of the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice, has passed away. The unfortunate news was conveyed in a notice dated March 22, 2024, signed by Mr. Henry Ashley, the Director of Human Resources and Administration on behalf of the Commissioner.

The statement expressed deep sorrow at the unexpected passing of Mr. Ackom Quayson on March 21, 2024, following a brief illness. He had been a part of the Commission since 1993, starting as a senior legal officer and eventually rising to the position of Deputy Commissioner in August 2005. In his role, he oversaw the Commission’s anti-corruption mandate, as well as public education and research. Prior to this, he had served as the regional director for the Western and Central Regions.

His dedication and years of service to the Commission will be remembered and cherished.
