Covid-19 Vaccination: The Light Foundation engages Kokrobite & Lagma Community on efficacy

An education on health advocacy through a community engagement which is being sponsored by UNICEF in partnership with The Light Foundation on Covid-19 Vaccine confidence, Lead Poisoning and Yellow Fever in Krokrobite and Lagma community respectively.

Speaking at the community engagement, the CEO of Light Foundation a non-profit organization, Sheikh Ali Abubakar Napari, urged the media to use it medium to educate Ghanaians on how efficient the covid 19 vaccine is and further started urged the audience to be cautious about the causes of Yellow Fever and Lead Poisoning.

The light foundation in December last year trained over 100 religious leaders, youth leaders, women focus groups and traditional leaders who will use thier platforms in thier various communities as a medium to educate thier followers on covid 19, Yellow Fever and Lead Poisoning.

According to the CEO of The Light Foundation, both FDA, WHO and national regulatory agencies ensure that, Covid-19 vaccines undergo rigorous testing in clinical trials to ensure that they meet internationally agreed benchmarks for safety and efficacy.

Sheikh Napari indicated that the yellow fever is a disease that is transmitted by mosquitoes and for people to have behavioural change in their lifestyle.

In reference to recent yellow fever cases which was recorded in the northern part of Ghana, Sheikh Ali Abubakar Napari urged all members to take serious precautions to avoid the spread of the disease in the country.

The Light Foundation is an inter-Faith non governmental organization which uses religious leaders to advocate for change in our various communities.
And has four branches across the country, mainly in North, Eastern, Greater Accra and the Volta region.

Sheikh Ali Napari counseled slotter houses over the methods of burning tyres to prepared meat and consider it inappropriate as it causes lead poisoning.
