Democracy Hub plans 3-day demo from Sept. 21

Democracy Hub has announced plans to hold a peaceful protest titled “A New Constitution for a New Generation” from September 21-23at Revolution Square, opposite the Jubilee House on Liberation Road. The protest will begin each day at 6 am.

In a press statement released on July 15, Democracy Hub confirmed that they have formally notified the Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, as required by the Public Order Act.

The protest aims to address critical issues such as socio-economic injustice, unemployment, rising poverty, state capture, nepotism, corruption, and the importance of judicial independence. Democracy Hub believes that addressing these issues is crucial for the betterment of the nation and its citizens.

This protest follows a similar demonstration in September 2023, known as #OccupyJulorbiHouse, which resulted in the arrest of some participants by the police.
