Dr. Okara congrats newly elected Fellows of WAPCMLS
Registrar and General Secretary of West African Post-graduate College of Medical laboratory Science (WAPCMLS) has congratulated newly elected Fellows of the college.
Speaking to African Editors on the sidelines of the 2021 Regional Scientific Conference and Induction of Elected WAPCMLS Fellows on Monday November 2021 in Abuja, Nigeria, Dr. Godswill Okara said “Hearty Congratulations to all our newly inducted College Elected Fellows”
He noted that “It is indeed gratifying to note the collection of highly qualified and experienced medical laboratory scientists in this group of Elected Fellows, which includes Professor Makie Taal, the Vice Chancellor of the American International University in the Gambia; Professor Isatta Wurie of the University of Sierra Leone; Professor Ngozi Felicia Onyemelukwe of the University of Nigeria, Professor Isaiah Nnanah Ibe of the University of Benin; Professor John Anetor of the University of Ibadan; Professor Oyedeji Kolawale of the University of Lagos; among many senior and distinguished colleagues who are Deans of Faculties and Heads of Departments from Ghana and Nigeria”.
For Dr. Okara, “As they join the College, they bring on board a very rich background of knowledge, skill and experience in education and training to enhance the achievement of the goals and objectives of the West African Postgraduate College of Medical Laboratory Science (WAPCMLS).
The College is now firmly positioned to hit the ground running in rolling out Fellowship Training programs across the West African region to enhance the much needed personnel capacity in the region for strengthening healthcare services, research, control and prevention of diseases”.
