Easter22: Diamond City to celebrate Easter in grand style
The people of Agotime Adedome in the Volta Region has begun preparation towards this year’s Easter celebration, which they intend to make it big and raise funds to support the community in terms of development.
Easter is celebrated every year by Christians all over the world to commemorate the death and the resurrection of the Saviour, Jesus Christ.
In Ghana, Eastern and Voltal Regions are the notable regions who celebrate the occasion with many activities.
Agotime Adedome is one notable town in the Volta region that mark the occasions.
Many natives who lives in other parts of Ghana always travels back home to be part of the occasion.
Agbo Eunice Dede, recounted her fondest memory of how rich and respectable people like Michel Agbenafa will return home with his family to participate in
the various activities as part of the Easter celebration.
Well, if you haven’t celebrated Easter in Adedome before, this is best time for you to be part of history making celebration.
The youth is spearheading the organization of this year’s programs with solid fifteen member committee bringing their knowledge and expertis together for extra ordinary programs and successful celebration.
The community have been left out in decision making, as the committee always fall on them for their opinions and suggestions.
In a bid to make the occasion more rich and enjoyable, the committee have asked natives to pay Levy to support it.
The posters, banners and flyers outlining various activities and the days it will be performed has been posted on the WhatsApp platform of the town, and has been met with joy and excitement.
There will be a clean up exercise on Thursday to clear the community of filth.
On Friday, there will be entertainment a young women will be display how good they are in using their waist to dance, in what has been been dubbed the Borbor night.
Saturday will start with early morning health walk, with football and other entertaining games later in the afternoon.
Later in the night, music lovers and dancers will have their fair share, some artistes have been booked to perform live, led by Diamond city very own Lejjy Wan.
The excitement will continue on Sunday, as the entire community will go the river side to have more fun, dubbed Kpok3k3 beach.
Monday is the climax of the entire celebration, as the whole community will gather under one umbrella for the durbar.
The theme for this year’s celebration is “United and Committed Community Development, our Responsibility”
