EC-IPAC meeting fixed for Thursday

The Electoral Commission of Ghana has initiated crucial discussions for the upcoming December 7, 2024 general elections by organizing an Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting scheduled for Thursday, March 7, 2024.This decision comes in response to mounting pressure from various political parties and Members of Parliament urging the EC to unveil its timetable for the forthcoming elections.

A formal invitation letter dated March 1, 2024, signed by Mr. Bossman Eric Asare, Deputy Chairman for Corporate Services at the EC, has been sent out to political party representatives instructing them to send three individuals to represent their interests at the IPAC meeting.

The main focus of the meeting, set to start at 10 am in the IPAC room of the Electoral Commission, is to lay the groundwork for the announcement of Election 2024 programs. Furthermore, any other relevant issues will be open for discussion among the gathered political stakeholders.
