Guinea Coup: ECOWAS to hold meetings with military Junta
ECOWAS mission is set to visit Guinea to hold crunch meetings with military junta.
After a meeting yesterday, the Heads of ECOWAS suspended Guinea from the regional block and demands immediate release of ousted Alpha Conde.
Reacting to ECOWAS, a Guinean Aliou Barry said “The people of Guinea are disappointed in the statement from ECOWAS because many are against the direction Alpha Conde was taking Guinea to”.
But, Ugandan President Yowori Museveni has described the coup as unfortunate and backward.
President Museveni told France 24 on Thursday that “The coup makers must get out because they have no solution to problems in Guinea”.
Guinea junta headed by most grounded man Lt. Col. Mamady Doumbouya have been binding their boots to set free 711 detainees put prison by toppled President Alpha Conde as the coup makers attempt to highten popularity before the masses in the midst of cheers.

In the mean time, ECOWAS Heads have communicated obligation to reestablish non military rule in Guinea at a crisis meeting held Wednesday 8 September 2021.
Head of ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government President Akufo-Addo says the tactical junta in Guinea is sad.
African Editors sources have affirmed ECOWAS Leaders at a crunch gathering on Wednesday led by President Akufo-Addo set out to authorize Guinea while guiding the upset creators to promptly return the Francophone West African State to constitutional regime.
Yet, International Relations Expert at Legon Center for International Affairs and Diplomacy, LECIAD Dr. Ken Ahorsu says extremist methodology by ECOWAS will throw remedy for Guinea out of gear.
He needs ECOWAS Heads to embrace discretionary approach and connect with authorities of Guinea to reestablish regular citizen rule.
