Dr. John Ampontua Kumah, former Deputy Finance Minister, at his residence in Donaso, Ejisu Constituency.

The Regional Chairman extended the opposition party’s sympathy to the family and prayed for the departed to rest in peace.

Unfortunately, his health deteriorated, and despite efforts to rush him back to Accra for treatment, he passed away at Suhum Government Hospital.

Reacting to the official confirmation of the demise of the late Member of Parliament for Ejisu, Hon. Dr. John Kumah by the family’s spokesperson, the Regional Chairman said he was shocked to hear the untimely departure of his good friend and brother. He said, the news broke to him when the party was holding a National Executive Committee meeting to take decision on H.E John Mahama’s running mate nominees. This caused NDC members to halt their meeting and observed a minute silence in honour of the departed politician.

The Chairman also requested the family to inform the party about the funeral arrangements for the late Dr. John Kumah.
