George Ayisi applauds Mahama for appointing Ing. Obeng-Kenzo as Acting CEO of VRA
Mr. George Ayisi, former Public Relations Officer of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) and a member of the communications team for the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), has praised President John Mahama for appointing Ing. Edward Ekow Obeng-Kenzo as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Volta River Authority (VRA).
Reflecting on their past collaboration during the Akosombo Dam spillage, Mr. Ayisi expressed strong confidence in Obeng-Kenzo’s skills and qualifications.
He described him as a dedicated, intelligent, and hardworking professional, capable of bringing positive change to the VRA.
“I was pleased to hear the announcement,” Mr. Ayisi commented, noting Obeng-Kenzo’s commitment and impartiality throughout his career.
In response to concerns raised by a small faction of VRA staff against the appointment, Mr. Ayisi dismissed their objections, stressing Obeng-Kenzo’s expertise and unwavering commitment to his responsibilities.
He further pointed out that the broad support from key stakeholders reflects the widespread confidence in Obeng-Kenzo’s leadership within the VRA.
