German Coach Jurgen Kholer applies to head Black Stars

German Coach Jurgen Kohler has formally applied for the coaching position with the Black Stars, according to the Ghana Football Association (GFA). Kohler’s application was submitted before the February 2, 2024 deadline to the five-member search committee.

The GFA, through its vice president Mark Addo, initiated discussions with Kohler, leading to his interest in the role and subsequent application.

Despite his limited coaching experience, Kohler, who holds a UEFA Pro License, is eager to take on the challenge of leading the Black Stars. The final decision on the coaching position will be made by the search committee. The committee, chaired by Mark Addo, also includes legal practitioner Ace Ankomah as vice chair.
