Get back-up comm. systems- Digital Marketing Strategist after What’sApp, Facebook, Instagram blackouts

Digital Marketing Strategist Stephen Boadi has asked book runners of businesses and firms to immediately design their individual information systems as a back-up to get their operations running in case of social media blackouts.

His advice follows a temporary shutdown of What’sApp, Facebook, Instagram leading to the loss of $160 million per hour.

Reacting to the major cyber space blackout,
Digital Marketing Strategist Stephen Boadi said “Businesses must be thinking of how to craft individual infrastructure of information systems as a backup to gain competitive advantage when there is a shutdown of social media”.

Meanwhile, Director of Operations at Dalex Finance Joe Jackson said “The time is right for Corporate Ghana to find alternative Communication systems. You need alternative platform to migrate workers immediately when there is outage”.

“The total blackout of WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook is estimated to costing $160 million every hour”, Jackson noted.
