GFAHP backs strike by HSWU, directs members to stay home

Ghana Federation of Allied Health Professions (GFAHP)
has backed nationwide strike declared by Health Service Workers Union (HSWU) today and has directed all allied health professionals to stay home until further notice.

A statement signed and issued by Chairman of Ghana Federation of Allied Health Professions Dr. Shiraz Issahaku on Tuesday 26 October 2021 said “All its members must stay home untill further notice. GFAHPs whose membership is directly affected by the inaction of Government are to respect this directive”.

The statement further started that “The leadership of GFAHPs therefore wishes to inform allied health professional bodies to approve the directive and inform its members to unconditionally and totally support HSWU in the quest for fairness and justice in the health sector”.
