NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT IS A SHARED RESPONSIBILITY
National development is indeed a share responsibility between strategic actors including the government, religious bodies, corporate organizations, chieftaincy institutions, civil society organizations and transnational associations of immigrants. Certainly, an effective interplay between all these key stakeholders mentioned above has always been a vital panacea for national development and progress.
In a relentless effort to find a kind humane, innovative and farsighted ways to contribute immensely to the development agenda of the Republic of Ghana by Ghanaians living abroad, a group of smart patriots in the Ghanaian communities of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut came together and created this noble organization called National Ghana Parade Council (NGPC). This group was created purposely to rally all Ghanaians and their well-wishers in the United States of America to build capacity, generate ideas and mobilize resources to support the development initiatives of Ghana.
To achieve the inscribed vision and mission, National Ghana Parade Council (NGPC) has been working in cordial collaboration with appropriate state and private institutions including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Ghana Embassy in Washington DC, Office of the Consulate General in New York, Office of the Ghana Mission to the UN, Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Electoral Commission, Ghana Investment Promotion Center, Ghana Exim Bank, Ghana Ports and Harbor Authority, Ghana Immigration Service, Ghana Shippers Authority and

The Ghana Festival-New York is a flagship annual event instituted by the National Ghana Parade Council (NGPC) to rally members of the Ghanaian communities in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and beyond to showcase the ever-colorful African diverse cultural heritage and also to scout for foreign direct investment opportunities for Ghana.
