Ghana isn’t ready for ‘honeymoon’ -COP Alex Mensah to Mahama

Former President John Mahama’s request for a grace period before addressing Ghana’s economic challenges has been criticized by retired Commissioner of Police (COP), George Alex Mensah.

According to COP Mensah, Mr. Mahama’s call for a ‘honeymoon’ period reflects a lack of commitment to the country’s development and a lack of concrete policies to address economic challenges. He emphasized that Ghana is not ready for a grace period and urged Ghanaians to grant the ruling New Patriotic Party the opportunity to continue the country’s development.

COP Mensah’s remarks come in response to Mr. Mahama’s plea for a grace period if he were to regain power, in order to revive the economy before addressing specific demands from trade and labour groups.
