Ghanaians in UK join anti-galamsey protest

Ghanaians living in the United Kingdom have shown solidarity with their compatriots at home by participating in the growing anti-galamsey protests. The demonstration took place outside the Ghana High Commission in London, with the goal of bringing attention to the destructive impact of illegal mining, or “galamsey,” on the environment and communities in Ghana.

A wide range of individuals, including students, professionals, and community leaders, came together for the protest, united by a common purpose. They carried signs with messages like “Blood, Gold, Greed!,” “Water No Bi Politics,” and “Stop Illegal Mining Now!.”
