Healthcare Delivery: Many Ghanaians dying out of professional negligence- NGO

Chief Executive Officer of NGO Advocacy for Medical Malpractice Victims Kwame Brobbey Appiah has revealed that many Ghanaians have been dying out of professional negligence of some health personnel in the country.

According to him, cases of medical negligence in Ghana are alarming and a prima facie case must be established when reported to legally nail health personnel involved in such unprofessional conducts.

Speaking in an interview monitored by African Editors on Sunday 11 July 2021 in Accra, Mr. Appiah revealed that “many of the time, people who are victims of such professional negligence don’t even know where to report for appropriate action”.

Mr. Appiah noted that “Many unprofessional medical practitioners go scot-free whilst the victims are in their homes suffering in silence”.

Advocacy for Medical Malpractice Victims is non-governnmental organisation established in the year 2018 as the mouthpiece for people who have suffered injury from negligent health practitioners.
