I’ll serve Ghana in any capacity – Togbe Afede

The Agbogbomefia of the Asogli State is willing to serve the nation in any capacity to use his expertise for the country’s development, emphasizing his commitment to the country’s progress. Despite this, he clarified that he has not authorized anyone to advocate for him as the running mate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC). This was stated in a release from the Asogli State Council, signed by Secretary Stephen Tetteh.

The statement disclosed that a group calling themselves the “Change Makers Forum” had petitioned the Agbogbomefia to consider joining John Mahama as his running mate for the 2024 Presidential election. In response, the Agbogbomefia explained that he would not reject any opportunity to serve the nation, but the decision on a running mate lies with the flag bearer.

Although he appreciated the trust and support from the “Change Makers Forum,” the Agbogbomefia has not authorized any lobbying for his selection as a running mate. The statement also offered an apology to anyone who may have been surprised or embarrassed by the news, assuring that the Agbogbomefia’s office is open for communication and feedback.
