Ghana’s former President of Ghana, at a breakfast meeting with the clergy on Wednesday, January 31st, made his stance on LGBTQ+ activities clear, stating that he’s against it.
“I am against LGBTQ. I am a member of the Assemblies of God Church, and my faith is against it,” he said.
Mr Mahama, a member of the Assemblies of God Church, added;
“A man is a man, and a woman is a woman. I don’t believe you can wake up one day and say I feel like I am a woman although I was born a man. Nature created as man and woman and God knew what he was doing when he created us like that, so if you ask me, my personal faith is against it.”
John Mahama’s declaration comes at a time where the anti-LGBTQ+ bill is still being debated in parliament for passage.
