I’ve no intention of becoming vice-prez -Joe Ghartey

Joe Ghartey, former Attorney General and Minister of Justice, has stated that he has no desire to become vice-president. He was one of the 10 candidates who applied last year to run for the governing New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer position.

The NPP’s presidential candidate for the 2024 elections, Mahamudu Bawumia, has yet to announce his running mate after being given an extension in December. Ghartey, speaking on a radio show, expressed that while he is not interested in the vice-presidential role, he is open to discussing any other position offered to him by Dr. Bawumia.
