Yesterday, 14 June, 2022. at Mensvic Grand Hotel here in Accra, I gave the keynote address at the Resilient Acquatic System Inception Workshop organized by the International Water Management Institute (IWMI).

The program is an initiative established by the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) which aims to expand smallholder productivity, increase nutritional outcomes and offer opportunities to benefit from fish value chain specifically for women and youths.

The Government of Ghana is overwhelmed with joy by the information that it is among eleven (11) other countries selected globally to benefit from the program.

It is worthy of note that the Program would collaborate with the Fisheries Commission and the Council For Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) to co-design innovative packages that allows the integration of aquaculture into small water infrastructures within the existing framework of One Village One Adam strategy implementation in Ghana.

I assured CGIAR that MoFAD would ensure that the program is successfully implemented in Ghana.
