Jospong Group joins Chief Imam for thanksgiving service
The Executive Chairman of the Jospong Group, Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong, alongside staff members, joined the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Dr. Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, and the Muslim community at the Ghana National Mosque Complex in Accra for the company’s annual thanksgiving service on Friday, November 29, 2024. The event provided an opportunity for the Jospong Group to express gratitude to God for His blessings and mercies.
Dr. Siaw Agyepong thanked God for the life of the National Chief Imam and expressed appreciation for the prayers offered for the group. He also called on all Ghanaians to uphold peace ahead of the upcoming December 7 elections, emphasizing, “We have only one Ghana, so let’s protect the peace.”
During the ceremony, the Jospong Group made a charitable donation to the National Chief Imam, contributing bags of rice, boxes of oil, and a cash gift to support his charitable activities.
In response, Sheikh Dr. Sharubutu thanked Dr. Siaw Agyepong and the Jospong Group for their generous gesture. He offered a special prayer for the group, asking for divine blessings and success in all their endeavors. He also appealed to Ghanaians to maintain peace and unity, stressing the importance of stability in the country.
This is not the first time the Jospong Group has supported the National Chief Imam, as they had previously made donations to the Muslim community during Eid-ul-Fitr.
Earlier in the week, at the head office of Zoomlion in Adjirigarnor, Accra, the Chairman of the Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Kwabena Nyamekye, delivered a sermon on the theme “Jesus is More Than Enough,” marking the culmination of the 2024 Jospong Group and Zoomlion thanksgiving celebrations. Apostle Nyamekye affirmed that Jesus Christ is “the truth and the accredited Savior of the world,” underscoring His role in reconciling humanity with God.
Apostle Nyamekye also called on Ghanaians to ensure the upcoming elections are peaceful and free from violence, urging, “Let us ensure that Ghana remains a shining example of democracy, regardless of the elections’ outcome.”
The ceremony was attended by various dignitaries, including Greater Accra Regional Minister Nii Kwartei Titus Glover and representatives from the Ga Traditional Council. The event also featured musical performances by Diana Hamilton and worship led by Prophetic Kwasi Asante Annor of PIWC Trassaco.
