Kwabenya Queen Mother threatens to invoke curses on GA East MCE
Queen Mother of Kwabenya Naa Korkoi Dugbatey II has threatened to pour libation to invoke curses on the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for GA East Elizabeth Kaakie Mann and the Municipal Assembly for allegedly interfering in Kwabenya market Lands issues by planning to demolish the Kwabenya Shrine situated close to the market at the blindside of the elders of the area.

The latest decision by Naa Korkor Dugbatey II to invoke the spirits of Kwabenya to deal with the GA East MCE, follows the total disrespect by the MCE and officials from the GA East Municipal Assembly after they took decision to demolish the Kwabenya Shrine to build and control shops in the market with first consulting the custodians of the land.
Invoking curses today by the priests and priestess of Kwabenya, the Queen Mother Naa Korkor Dugbatey II, accused the MCE, Elizabeth Kaakie Mann of interfering in their Lands issues whilst threatening to demolish their shrine.
Speaking to African Editors on Tuesday 4 January 2022, Kwabenya Queen Mother Naa Korkor Dugbatey II, said “GA East MCE Elizabeth Kaakie is insisting that the Musuko area is a river not a shrine. We’ll not allow what she wants to do here. The place is shrine and river. She has not consulted the elders of Kwabenya on what she intends to demolish because he is insisting that the land belongs to Ghana Atomic Energy Commission. We’re waiting for her”.
Naa Korkor Dugbatey II noted that “When Ghana was hit with COVID-19 pandemic, I allowed government to use of the land for their operations. I did the covering. Now, without consulting us, she has planned to demolish the covering because she claims to have authority. The fact is that if she demolish it, it will affect the Kwabenya Shrine”.

“I personally took her to the shrine and explained the issue to her but she insists it’s not a shire and it is rather an ordinary tree lying on the land. She said I’m a liar. After invoking curses today, the MCE should come and conduct the demolishing exercise. If Kaakie says she is a Woman, should come and destroy the Kwabenya Shrine at Musuko. We’re waiting for her, morning or afternoon. Whatever transpire upon her arrival is her own case “.
The Kwabenya Queen Mother Naa Korkor Dugbatey II has also called on Greater Accra Regional Minister Henry Quartey to to call the GA East MCE Elizabeth Kaakie to order.
