Mahama has been careful in choosing his ministers –Appiah Kubi
Former Member of Parliament for Asante Akim North, Andy Appiah-Kubi, has expressed approval of President John Mahama’s nominations for key ministerial roles, including those for the Finance Ministry, the Attorney General’s Office, and the Energy Ministry.
Mr. Appiah-Kubi praised President Mahama for his careful and thoughtful approach in selecting ministers.
Speaking on JoyNews’ Upfront on Thursday, January 9, he lauded the President for emphasizing merit in his appointments, saying this is the standard expected of any leader.
“I’m very pleased with how the President has been cautious in his ministerial selections. I commend him for prioritizing competence, integrity, and knowledge,” he stated.
This follows President Mahama’s nomination of Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson as Finance Minister-designate, John Abdulai Jinapor as Energy Minister-designate, and Dominic Akuritinga Ayine as Attorney General and Minister of Justice-designate.
All three nominees previously held deputy roles in the same ministries during the former NDC administration.
Mr. Appiah-Kubi described the nominees as highly qualified, expressing confidence that they are the ideal choices for their respective positions.
