Former President John Dramani Mahama is currently in Lagos, Nigeria as a special guest for the Nigerian Bar Association’s 64th Annual General Conference. He is set to attend the official opening ceremony on Sunday, August 25th and deliver the keynote address at the conference’s opening plenary on Monday, August 26th.
According to a press release from Mahama’s Campaign Spokesperson, Joyce Bawah Mogtari, the theme of the conference, “Pressing Forward – A National Posture for Rebuilding Nigeria,” aligns with Mahama’s advocacy for democratic governance, the rule of law, and collaborative efforts for national development.
The statement highlighted Mahama’s focus on accountability and leadership in governance and his eagerness to discuss innovative solutions to Nigeria’s challenges with legal practitioners at the conference. Mahama travelled to Lagos after the successful launch of the NDC’s 2024 manifesto, “Resetting Ghana—Jobs | Accountability | Prosperity,” in Winneba on Saturday, August 24th.
During the manifesto launch, Mahama emphasized the importance of a government that brings together all Ghanaians for the collective improvement of the country, regardless of differences in ethnicity, religion, or political affiliation.
