Ministerial nominees to be vetted Jan 23 – 27

The Appointment Committee of Parliament has set the schedule for the vetting of the second batch of ministerial nominees from Thursday, January 23 to Monday, January 27, 2025.

On Thursday, January 17, President John Mahama announced his second list of appointees, which includes five men and four women.

The vetting sessions will begin at 8:30 AM daily, held in Committee Rooms 1, 2, and 3 at the New Administration Block of Parliament.

During this period, the committee will review the nominees proposed by the President for various regional ministerial positions.

The committee has officially requested media coverage and invited members of the Parliamentary Press Corps to attend and report on the proceedings.

In his first set of ministerial nominations, the President had earlier named Cassiel Ato Forson (Finance), John Jinapor (Energy), and Dominic Ayine (Attorney General and Justice), all of whom have been vetted and are awaiting approval.

Since taking office, the President has made additional appointments and nominations.
