NDC to outdoor running mate April 18

The Ghana’s opposition party, NDC is expected to officially present Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang as their vice presidential running mate on Thursday, 18 April 2024, with plans for her to kick off her national campaign tour in the Central Region two days later.

Despite winning the majority of parliamentary seats in the region in the 2020 general elections, the NDC’s presidential candidate still fell short of victory. Political experts believe that the NDC is hoping to change this outcome by nominating Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang once again for the 2024 elections.

Meanwhile, the NPP is yet to announce their vice presidential candidate, with speculation that they may choose a running mate from the Ashanti Region.
