New Appointments: Ablakwa to Foreign Affairs, Omane Boamah to Defence, Sam George to Communications
In a press release issued on Tuesday, 21 January 2025, President John Dramani Mahama announced his third round of ministerial appointments.
The statement, signed by Presidential spokesperson Felix Kwakye Ofosu, outlines the selection of several prominent figures for key positions in the new administration.
Among the notable appointments, Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah has been named Minister for Defence, while Samuel Nartey George will head the Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations.
Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, a seasoned politician, is appointed as the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources.
Other appointments include Kofi Adams, who will lead the Ministry of Sports and Recreation, and Abdul-Rashid H. Pelpuo, who will take charge of the Ministry of Labour, Jobs, and Employment.
Kwabena Mintah Akandoh will serve as Minister for Health, and Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has been nominated as the Minister for Foreign Affairs.
