No home matches for Hearts, 3 others as Accra Sports Stadium undergoes 2-wk maintenance

Accra Sports Stadium is to be closed down starting 13th to 26th December 2021 to allow for maintenance of the facilities.

National Sports Authority (NSA) released a statement on Tuesday asking the Ghana Football Association to reschedule matches that ought to be played at the Accra Stadium within that period.

This is big blow for Accra based clubs, Hearts of Oak, Great Olympics, Legon Cities and Accra Lions who uses the Accra Stadium for their home matches.

The statement reads:

“The National Sports Authority would like to inform the Ghana Football Association to postpone or reschedule the League matched slated from Monday, 13th to 26th December 2021 ostensibly for a plan maintenance work at the Stadium”

“The Authority deeply regrets the inconveniences this request would bring to the clubs”
