New Force founder, Prof. Lumumba, Dr. Arikana meet Mahama
The founder of ‘The New Africa Foundation,’ Nana Kwame Bediako, also known as Cheddar or Freedom Jacob Caesar, along with renowned African leaders, met with the flagbearer of the largest opposition, National Democratic Congress (NDC), after the government cancelled the New African Convention movement event.
In an effort to launch the New African Convention movement, influential African thought leaders like Professor PLO Lumumba, Dr. Arikana Chihombori-Quao from Zimbabwe, and Nigeria’s Labour Party Presidential candidate, Peter Obi, were invited to Ghana by Nana Kwame Bediako. However, the government of Ghana, under the leadership of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, cancelled the public lecture rally called ‘The Convention 2024’ at the last minute due to unforeseen circumstances.
Despite this setback, some of the leaders, including Timi Frank, Prof. PLO Lumumba, Labour Party Presidential candidate Peter Obi, Dr. Arikana Chihombori-Quao, and Freedom Jacob Caesar, met with former President John Dramani Mahama, the NDC presidential candidate in the December 7, 2024 elections in Ghana. The cancellation of the event has led to severe criticism of the NPP government. Nana Kwame Bediako, in a press conference, revealed that he is “the man behind the mask” and explained the vision behind ‘The New Africa Foundation’ – to contribute to the development of Ghana and Africa as a whole through the utilization of natural resources. He emphasized the importance of turning these resources into a sustainable economy for the benefit of the people and expressed his dedication to adding value to society.
Nana Kwame Bediako also mentioned that he is not afraid and is motivated to make a positive impact in Africa. He promised to share his policies and visions in due course. Additionally, he mentioned his willingness to sacrifice himself to support the gathering of great voices that can educate and uplift not only Ghana but also the entire African continent.
