NPP Primary: OSP arrests NEIP CEO over alleged money sharing

Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, the Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), has been apprehended by the Special Prosecutor, Kissi Agyebeng, on allegations of distributing funds to delegates before the NPP parliamentary primaries. These allegations were brought up by Mr. Kwame Anyimadu Antwi, who is Mr. Nkansah’s rival for the Asante Akim Central parliamentary seat. Mr. Felix Amakye, the NPP’s Asante Akim Central constituency secretary, then reported the matter to the attention of the Special Prosecutor.

Upon receiving the complaint, Mr. Nkansah was immediately detained and taken to his office in Accra for further investigation. It is important to note that Mr. Nkansah is the primary competitor challenging the incumbent Anyimadu Antwi for the Asante Akim Central parliamentary seat.

The NPP has already scheduled the parliamentary primaries for constituencies with sitting MPs to occur on January 27, 2024.
