NPRA directs SSNIT to suspend sale of hotels

The National Pensions Regulatory Authority (NPRA) has instructed SSNIT to halt the controversial sale of its stake in four hotels in order to allow for a thorough evaluation of the associated documents. NPRA Chief Executive, John Kwaning Mbroh, issued a directive on June 28 to suspend all processes involving Rock City Hotel Limited as the Strategic Investor in the sale of the hotels. This decision follows a “Hands Off Our Hotels” demonstration at the Labadi Beach Hotel where protesters gathered in opposition to the sale.
