Policy to get 20% procurement awarded to women coming- Ofori-Atta

Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta has revealed that government will put in force a policy to award women 20% in procurement.

According to him, the women-focused policy intervention is anchored on government’s agenda to support women.

Speaking during the Mid-Year-Budget-Review at parliament in Accra on Thursday 29 July 2021, Ken Ofori-Atta said “the novelty coupled with agro-pricessing and mining programmes for the youth in collaboration with Lands and Natural Resources Ministry are intended to improve the living conditions of the masses whilst alleviating poverty”.

Meanwhile, the Finance Minister says government will embark on digitisation of Lands Commission records.
