Robert Suapim Jnr, a unsuccessful Parliamentary aspirant for the Tema West Constituency in the Greater Accra Region under the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has suggested the need for a Public Relations (PR) management team for the party’s running mate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh.

Suapim stressed the importance of PR managers in overseeing Dr. Prempeh’s public statements and reputation. Drawing a parallel with the PR strategies of global leaders, Suapim emphasized the significance of ensuring Dr. Prempeh’s statements are accurate and well-received.

In an interview with Classfmonline.com, Suapim emphasized the importance of monitoring and regulating Dr. Prempeh’s words to ensure appropriateness.

He applauded Dr. Prempeh’s track record of achievements, particularly in implementing the Free Senior High School policy, both at the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Energy, as well as his response to the Dumosr issue.

Regarding a recent controversial statement by Dr. Prempeh comparing the achievements of Nana Akufo-Addo to Dr. Kwame Nkrumah’s, Suapim attributed it to excitement and stressed the need to view it in context.

Suapim urged forgiveness for any perceived missteps, advocating for continued support for the Akufo-Addo administration and trusting in the leadership of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Dr. Prempeh for positive change in Ghana.

Dispelling notions of arrogance surrounding Dr. Prempeh, Suapim explained that assertiveness is often misinterpreted in the Ghanaian context, calling for a more compassionate and understanding response rather than demonization.
